Fashion Camp is a two-day open conference in NYC on September 12th and 13th, 2009, bringing together the mainstream fashion community, the indie fashion community, and the next wave of wearable technologists and tech gurus, to explore this question through workshops, presentations, and collaboration. Come learn about everything from how the fashion industry works to the real lives of designers to what its really like to start a label. Learn how to use social media in fashion, how wearable technology will shape the runway of tomorrow, and more!
FashionCampNY is planned as a “Barcamp” or “unconference,” which means its a free, participant-driven conference born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. Discussions, demos and open participatory workshops are attended—and run!—by the participants. The event doesn’t cost any money, but there is a price: all attendees must give a demo, a session, or help with one.
