Samantha Black, the Designer of SammyB Designs, graduated from the prestigious Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY in 2005 with a BFA in fashion design. While attending Pratt Black interned for label champs such as Jill Stuart and Michael Kors, and after graduating Samantha continued the fashion growth by moving to London for several months where she worked exclusively for Alexander McQueen in his design studio. At age 24 Samantha began designing for a new spinoff company called JimmyZ--a fashion subsidary of Aeropostale. At JimmyZ Samantha was in charge of designing the entire womens denim line ranging from bottoms, dresses and outerwear. As a hungry designer, Black takes bits and pieces of inspiration from everywhere and everything as well as the designers she’s been fortunate enough to work for. She then combines that with her own personal style, personality and flavor, there by producing the line of her own SammyB Designs.

Her goal is to compliment those with style and to enhance the style of others. With a wide range of looks and separates she hopes to appeal to the masses, but mainly females like herself: "A Tomboy in Pumps!"

Here is a sneak peek of the latest from SammyB designs, the newly added department of SammyB SWIM, from the The 4th Annual Bikini Under The Bridge 2009

SammyB is a contemporary line of clothing that is urban chic, fun, funky, fresh and unmistakably New York. The line provides an array of interchangeable pieces that are casual and dressy. There are even fierce pieces that are suitable for a night out on the town. The line consists of tops, bottoms, jackets, dresses and even swimsuits.

Sassy, Sexy and Ultra Cool fused with a Street-Creed Edge, are just some of the words that describe the SammyB line.
