SUNDAY'S BEST: Woman's History Month Cont'd

8:00 AM

Women In the World Summit
April 4th-5th 2013
Inspiring women from around the globe convened on April 4-5 for the Women in the World Summit.

2013 Women in the World Speakers
During the month of March we celebrated many influential women all month long, it seems like the Month of March couldn't hold all of that Fabulosity, because the 1st week of April ended with the prestigious Women In the World Summit.

Headlined by our Ambassador, Hillary Clinton (who looked GREAT in her Hot Pink) was the 4th annual Women in the World summit. I had the pleasure of being a part of, as a guest Day#1 (s/o to worker's comp!) and as an Operational team member on Day #2, helping to carry out a seamless event.

Sometimes women can feel intimidated & anxious in a room FULL of other women but the feeling here at was simply LIBERATING. The list of speakers, panelist, activist, survivors and outstanding women (Ft. a few men) who shared their own stories of survival annd growth, outlook and strategies of GLOBAL CHANGE, and business tips and jewels that will prepare every woman, in the room, to walk the same path toward success. It was the best gift I received all week: The ability to hear my inner voice, again. I could elaborate what that could mean, but I rather you just stay tuned.....maybe I'll be a speaker, panelist, activist, survivor and outstanding woman sharing her story at the next one!

Here are a few of my snap shots, red carpet and other highlights gathered of the event.

The wonderful Ms Jolie-Pitt returns to the red carpet in Yves Saint Laurent Spring 2013
As a presenter, Jolie gave a passionate introduction speech about a young Pakistani activist, Malala Yousafzai, who was shot in the head by the Taliban for taking a stand in favor of women’s education. Malala survived. Angelina also donated $200,000 to the Malala Fund which continues to fight for women’s rights in the repressive culture. taken
