NYFW FW14: Day 5

Day Number 5 started off with social media follow-ups and ended in Eloquence. The Eloquence Fall/winter Collection By Misha lived up to the very last letter of the word.

Upon exiting the Pop Art Elevator of Lali Lali gallery salon and studio loft,  guests were entranced by a display of 10 gorgeous models, sporting double high buns and exuding historic elegance.

Draped in lace, over sized lapels, wide leg trousers, pleated skirts,  flared dresses each girl possessed and inner power one would think came from the elevation of the platform heels a-top platform boxes, they were standing on---and then we met the lovely Misha, herself...
Hailing from London, the petite designer explained that her Eloquence line was inspired by influential women throughout history. Each piece embodied a certain power that strong women in global history has left behind and in fact, carried proper namesakes, for example: Amelia: Pull on Mini shorts, Maggie: Lace tailored dress and Nightingale: High-low pencil skirt.

Eloquence featured a subtle palette of rose pinks, greys, blush, olive, navy blues and creams with classic texture blends of silks and lace. Misha called on top independent NYC artisans to complete the presentation, by accessorizing and styling like no other.

GBHG by Jackie Barbosa provided the chunky bling worn by the models, as chic nail art done by Mischo Beauty was on full display. Mary Lai of Marylai New York provided the hand bags as well as a luxury gift for all guests. We also got a chance to chat with Mary she was very sweet and gave us a little inside to NYC brand---I now look at pythons very differently!

The vertical bun, courtesy of Prive Salon was lead by Laurent D and Bobbi Brown for make-up lead by Kai Vinson and Angel Williams.
This was a very fun event to attend for the evening as we mingled and met awesome guest such as NYC actors Ryan and Connor, Stassi Schroeder of Vanderpump Rules, stylist Tiffany Pinero, Fashion Writer Jennier Ortakales and Valentina Osorio of Marylai New York . We chatted and joked all evening enjoying Meg's Sweet Treats and a Yummy cocktail made with Bacardi and Owl's Brew Tea!

Overall the independent line By Misha possessed strength, elegance and youthful classiness that can appeal to both the young modern girl and the established independent women. I love when a young designer can tap into both their worlds and create something for varying consumers. Misha seems to have an awesome support system of friends and family as mom, dad, sis and close friends were apart of the By Misha operation, pulling off a seamless presentation. I hope to see this brand grow and continue to do extremely well!
