Sounds Like a Beach Party!

What's Bright x Fun x Flowy??

Dressing for a Beach x Pool Party

You can go ahead wear your bodi-con club dress, if you want to, but odds have it that you wont have much fun and it may be uncomfortable! Beach parties are a relaxed cool atmosphere and thats how you should look as well.

Brighten up
Leave black and tight at the club, loosen up with a pop of colour. Red's and blue's are my favourites and can be worn in a natural light weight fabric like silk and knit jersey that drapes nicely and gives a better silhouettes.
Style Tip: Pair with a crisp white envelope clutch or snakeskin pocketbook

Elongate
Maxi dresses and long jumpsuits look chic and are extremely comfortable. For the petite girls try a maxi shirt with a fitted top or a simple top with some pajama style or harem pants.

Go BIG or go home
Forget the fine jewelry, chunky stacked bangles are so sexy this season! eg wood and gold or pattern and colour work well. My personal choice are some colourful earrings, or a beaded necklace.

Stay Grounded
Flats are your friend, simply slip on a pair of strappy or jelly sandals not only showing off your pedicure and completing your  look, But if you really need the height try wedged sandals and espadrilles instead of the stilettos.

Accessorize
Wrap it up: Instead of the floppy hat, try wrapping your tresses in a turban or head scarf

Aviator Sunnies : These are only 20% larger than the traditional sunnies, but they protect against harsh sun-rays without swallowing your dainty face.

Sarong: Tying your sarong in the centre is more flattering than the usual side knot which can draw unwarranted  attention to the hips.

 Face It
SPF
Tinted moisturizer evens out the skin tone, add radiance and doesn't feel heavy in the sweltering heat. Some even have light reflectors for that radiant glow, like the goodie I received in my May BirchBox: Marcelle BB Cream in Golden Glow. Check out the other items from my May BirchBox Article, here

Cheeks: Apricot or rose blush like cream blush like: "Cha Cha" tint by Benefit or Josie Maran Cheek Gelee

Eyes: Smudge a copper crayon or pencil along the lash line and a shimmering cream eye shadow on the lids.

Lips: Glossy balms and Moisturising lip tints are my pro choices, keeps lips soft and hydrated with a pop of sheer colour

Check out how I accessorized in detailed sunnies, moisturized skin, donning an elongated maxi cover-up, in lots of colour with no turban but natural hair all while staying grounded, at this weekend's pool party!
