Fall Transition

10:00 AM

We all knew that summer would come to an end a few weeks ago but I was secretly hoping for just a few more weeks of warm weather, didn't you?

If you're anything like me, you constantly disregard traditional style rules if they no longer apply, and you go on with your stylish day. Like "wearing white after labor day",  global warming has contributed to disregarding that rule for quite some time, myself. I've actually worn white pants, shoes and sneakers well until October 1st.
Now that Hurricane Mathew has shifts the east coast weather pattern each day, its even harder to transition your summer wardrobe. If you're having a hard time try layering your favorite summer items with key fall pieces. Be conscious and creative with your pairing, since you do have to stay warm, after-all.

I haven't taken any street style photos of my layering ideas just yet but here are some of my favorite street style mavens and their Fall 16 layered looks, I'm sure they'll inspire you too.

ALWAYS BE A LADY:
Combine feminine florals, your favorite dresses and flowy skirts with knit sweaters or fitted trousers

BUTTON IT UP:
Pair your favorite over sized button-up shirt with a couple more shirts, cardigans options. Top it off with denim, bomber jackets or even a cape!

GO BIG or GO HOME:
Anything oversized works just fine, theres just room to add more!

And remember, when creating a layered look be sure to stay true to your color and print palette...we don't want you looking like you actually got dressed in the dark, now!
